I am a fully qualified acupuncturist and member of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC) practising in Chelmsford and Maldon. I became a licensed and qualified acupuncturist in 2003 at the London Traditional College of Acupuncture (LCTA). After completing 3 years of training I then studied for a further year to complete a degree BSc(Hons) in acupuncture. After qualifying I worked for a short time in the Hangzhou Hospital, China.
As a practitioner I continue to advance my skills by attending post graduate training. In areas such as Advanced Needling Skills, treating pain using the Balance Method under instruction of the now Late Dr. Tan. In addition, attending a Nogiers Auriculotherapy (ear acupuncture) course again the focus was on pain as well as scar tissue and mental/emotional problems.
I have an interest in fertility and pregnancy having also attended post-graduate training in these fields. My interest in fertility and pregnancy was as a direct result of the increasing numbers of men and women who came for help. Help to either conceive naturally or for supportive treatment whilst undergoing IVF or other fertility procedures.
I am also a member of the Acupuncture Fertility Network (AFN), which is a special interest group of acupuncturists. This network is dedicated to supporting those with fertility issues and attend post-graduate courses and study through Continued Professional Development (CPD).
